Other Congenital Defects
Other Conditions
This site does not contain an exhaustive list of the congenital heart defects that a dog may be born with. There are others, including malformation of the blood vessels, the protective sac around the heart and the valve system. However, these are very rare.
It is beyond the scope of this website to offer any advice as to the outlook for such patients. However, if you have a pet with a rare congenital defect, the likelihood is that diagnosis will have been made by a cardiology specialist who is best placed to advise.
