Product Type
Oral broadspectrum anthelmintic for the control of round worms and liver flukes in cattle and sheep
Description and Composition
COMBINEX is available as 2 ready-to-use drenches:
- COMBINEX 19.5% for cattle containing 7.5 g of levamisole hydrochloride and 12 g of triclabendazole per 100 ml.

Properties
COMBINEX contains the active ingredients levamisole and triclabendazole.
Levamisole is an imidazothiazole. It is a cholinergic agonist leading to spastic paralysis of the nematode. Levamisole is a broad spectrum anthelmintic effective against mature and immature stages of nematodes, including strains resistant to other anthelmintics.
Triclabendazole is a benzimidazole. It binds to tubulin impairing intracellular transport mechanisms and interferes with protein synthesis. Triclabendazole is specifically effective against all 3 stages of Fasciola. The unique efficacy against early immature and immature stages makes COMBINEX particularly useful for the treatment of outbreaks of acute and subacute fasciolosis and for the strategic control of Fasciola infections.
Indications
COMBINEX is indicated for the treatment and control of mature and immature gastrointestinal nematodes (Ostertagia, Haemonchus, Trichostrongylus, Cooperia, Nematodirus, Bunostomum, Gaigeria, Chabertia, Oesophagostomum), lungworms (Dictyocaulus) and all 3 stages of liver fluke (Fasciola) infections in cattle and sheep.
